In Waiting

Acrylic on canvas, 110 × 100 cm

2025

In Waiting transforms a simple plastic chair — a familiar element of Mediterranean everyday life — into a symbol of collective tension. The object stands empty yet full: covered with inscriptions, notes, and phrases in Hebrew and English. Each mark becomes a trace of lived experience — ironic, weary, yet still hopeful.

The yellow background radiates both warmth and unease, evoking an atmosphere of endless waiting — between presence and absence, hope and anxiety. The work invites the viewer into a quiet contemplation of an inner state, where the ordinary becomes a vessel of memory.
