The Unfixed

2025
Acrylic on canvas

43.3 × 39.4 in
100 x 110 cm

The Unfixed explores the experience of groundlessness — a condition in which stability is no longer assumed but continuously negotiated.

Through the imagery of water and drifting forms, the painting unfolds as a shifting psychological space. Lily pads and soft blooms appear suspended, held in a surface that never fully settles. Movement is quiet yet persistent.

The work reflects a lived state in which orientation is fluid and identity remains in process — sustained, but never fixed.

A completed painting project examining the loss of a stable center and psychological disorientation, where instability of form reflects lived experience and the process of reassembling identity within shifting, uncertain conditions.
